Metabolic Genetic Counselor

Invitae is reinventing genetic testing by making genetic testing more affordable and accessible than ever before. We are seeking a board certified genetic counselor with experience in metabolic genetics to join our clinical team of PhD scientists, genetic counselors and clinical molecular geneticists.  Invitae’s clinical genomics team is passionate about the company’s mission, encouraging creative thinkers to come up with new ways to streamline curation of genetic data, variant interpretation and report writing.

Requirements

  • ABGC certification
  • Eligible for California Genetic Counselor license
  • 3+ years experience in metabolic genetics
  • Creative problem solvers that thrive in flexible, team-oriented environments

Responsibilities

  • Writing reports for our expanding menu of genetic tests
  • Reviewing test orders for clinical appropriateness
  • Evaluating cases for VUS resolution
  • Providing clinical support to our client services team
  • Scientific curation for new clinical test offerings
