Commercial Training Manager


The Training Manager is responsible for the delivery of product, disease state, competitive landscape, internal policy, and order workflow training for all field, client services personnel, and others that are in the Commercial organization.   They will partner with sales, marketing and client services to determine training needs and implement training solutions to address those needs.    The sales, marketing, and client services team collectively seeks to maximize the number of appropriate patients tested while focusing on customers and minimizing costs to further increase global access to genetic testing.  The Training Manager champions the vision and values from a sales and customer service perspective to support the strategic goals of the Company:


  • Works with global sales and client services to implement training and development initiatives for regional managers, distributors and others as identified
  • Develops and facilitates product, sales, internal policy, and order workflow training classes for new hires and existing employees as needed
  • Partners with field and client services leadership to determine development needs and leverages resources internally and externally to address those needs
  • Demonstrates ability to successfully transfer curriculum information/knowledge to participating professions and/or managers
  • Assesses training program effectiveness and modifies training delivery modalities as necessary
  • Develops Training Program Curriculum and other learning modalities
  • Determines most effective method of delivering training curriculum and develops curriculum as appropriate
  • Develops and delivers in-field training for new hire sales professionals 


  • Bachelors degree or higher education

  • Five years sales or sales management experience in a business-to business sales environment. 

  • This position requires travel. 

  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge in Genetics a plus
  • Ability to work in team environment with collaboration across multiple functional areas
  • Ability to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
  • Natural ability to flex and adapt in real time based on multiple channels of feedback
