Personalized Cancer Monitoring

The Invitae Personalized Cancer Monitoring - Baseline Test uses tumor exome sequencing to develop a patient-specific, customized assay that has been designed to assess the presence or absence of a patient’s tumor-specific molecular signature from patient plasma. Patient plasma samples are then tested for the tumor-specific molecular signature to assess minimal/molecular residual disease (MRD) status and quantify the circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in the bloodstream. This test is specifically designed for the detection of somatic mutations and is not appropriate for the identification of heritable germline mutations.
