Benefits Coordinator

Description

The Benefits Coordinator will be a general go-to person for employees in the organization for topics relating to HR and benefits. This person will work closely with other members of Talent Operations, as well as cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Facilities & Corporate Services, in support of the entire company.

Requirements

  • Approachable demeanor, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to cope with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced technical environment
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment regulations
  • Experience in benefits and leaves administration across different states
  • Experience using collaboration/productivity tools and software (e.g., Asana, Google docs), running reports and tracking metrics
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
  • Meticulous with follow-through and execution
  • An outside-the-box thinker that stays on top of the industry’s best practices

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, beneficiaries
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
  • Process and administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability, CFRA and FMLA
  • Assist with Talent Ops initiatives such as the annual open enrollment process and new hire orientation
  • Review and respond to Verification of Employment requests
  • Assist with employment visa processing and other immigration requests
