SAN FRANCISCO, February 18, 2015 – Invitae Corporation (NYSE: NVTA), a genetic information company, announced today the closing of its initial public offering of 7,302,500 shares of common stock at an initial public offering price of $16.00 per share, which included 952,500 shares sold pursuant to the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase additional shares of common stock. Total gross proceeds from the offering were approximately $116.8 million, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and other offering expenses. All of the shares in the offering were offered by Invitae. Invitae’s common stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “NVTA.”
J.P. Morgan Securities LLC acted as the sole book-running manager for the offering. Cowen and Company, LLC and Leerink Partners LLC acted as co-managers.
