Talent Operations Business Partner

Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Partner who will serve as a key resource for our leaders in supporting the health and performance of teams at Invitae. The Business Partner will engage with teams across the company on performance management, compensation and rewards, and organizational design. We are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done for the common good. This person will be expected to develop a savvy understanding of the organization and demonstrate thought leadership in people strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, respectful relationships with leads across Invitae
  • Support leads in optimizing teams through performance management, coaching conversations, compensation strategies, and conflict resolution
  • Provide insightful guidance in talent-related matters and support decisions with data and sound judgment
  • Solve complex people challenges effectively on an individual and organizational level
  • Align teams with organizational objectives; champion Invitae’s values and culture

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR generalist and/or employee relations experience
  • Excellent problem-solver with ability to approach challenges with an analytical mindset as well as with empathy
  • Able to understand strategy and work with team leads to organize and manage execution
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Able to manage change and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Agile learner comfortable with ambiguity
  • Reliable in follow-through and execution
  • Able to appreciate and influence teammates from a wide range of diverse backgrounds
  • Effective communicator and able to build relationships with teammates

Our new headquarters is in San Francisco and we have offices in Oakland and Palo Alto as well. All are located within walking distance of public transportation options.
